I ordered this, as I bought a Siggi straw hat earlier this summer that was very comfortable and effective in dealing with sun and wind, but I wanted something with a greater depth of brim for the very hot days, especially at the back of the neck to prevent sunburn. The brim on this is certainly deeper but whilst the front half is stiffened and stayed fixed in the wind, the back is a much lighter fabric and easily rose up with any gust, however slight, thus completely erasing any benefit to the deeper brim! I appreciate the back may need to be a more flexible construction than the front but I would have expected there to be some weighting down of the edge to prevent it rising up so easily; especially when the hat comes with an already installed chin strap to secure it against the wind!The fit on the head was also a little tighter, but then I expect this is due to the stiffen cotton and it may ease later. The styling is quite attractive but it doesn't make up for the practical failings for me.

My wife bought this hat as she has skin cancer and needed a large brim hat with neck cover she wore it everyday on holiday and the sun never touched her skin she loves it.

Very pleased with this Sun hat. Perfect fit. Lightweight. The brim is wide and gives me the protection I wanted. Neck cover is able to be loose or gathered within the ties. I wanted it for gardening not for beachwear but I'm sure it would be good for that too. I needed to provide eye protection before and after a cataract op. It fits the bill. I may get another one.

This is a good hat for anyone with sun sensitivity issues as it offers great protection for both the face and neck. The fabric is quite light in feel, which helps to prevent overheating.The main issue I have is that it isn't adjustable, as the fit is slightly too big for me. That said, the under chin strap prevents it being taken on a windy day. The loose fit makes it a little uncomfortable in the car because it pushes the hat too far forward, but this is a minor inconvenience for such good sun protection.

I love it....beats worrying about neck burning, ideal for gardening and activities like sailing....what the advert doesnt show is the lovely polka dot lining and trim which compliments this item even more. I am pleasantly surprised with this item and the speedy delivery.

Perfect for what I bought it for...walking on hot sunny days. Keeps my head cool and protects my face and neck from the sun. The brim extends far enough out to provide full face shade but not so far as to be annoying when looking up. The brim is stiffened which means it retains shape in windy conditions. Adjustment is by a tied band around, which works fine.

Great product really great coverage and protection for the mech especially if you have short hair. Brim is wide but offers great protection fron the sun have recommended to others
