Have waited for a long time to review this mic as I really wanted to test it over a long period. I can confirm this product is well worth the money and is well built and sound quality is excellent.I would highly recommend it.

For the cost it is excellent value and perfect for a first time mic. I was genuinely surprised at how good it was.Swing arm is not amazing quality (plastic screws, cheap metal) but for €50 you can not go wrong.

First off, this is great value for money. You get everything you need in one neatly packaged product, and it is quick and easy to assemble. The build-quality is more than acceptable for the price point, and there is nothing at all to fault in any aspect of the kit.It would have scored an easy five stars from me, but I had to dock a star simply because it is somewhat quieter than my other mics, meaning that I need to push the level up more, which in turn means there is more background noise to filter out later. But that is a minor niggle. This mic is intended to be used very close to the subject, and works extremely well at close-range. I just prefer a bit more space between myself and the mic, so the quiet level is at least fifty percent my fault.Overall a great product and worth every penny.

I used to sing a bit and this mic assisted me to get back in the saddle. I am now recording directly on my laptop and living the results. This is a great item especially for the money.

Microphone is too weak even when you boost it on PC sound settings and the microphone picks up so much background noise you'd thing you were stood next to a hair dryer. Wouldn't recommend this for recording videos. If you are a gamer then others will struggle to hear you. The only reason I'm not trying to refund this is because the desk clamp is pretty good and I will try to find a different mix to use with it.

Okay for a starting out microphone for streaming good for a low budget as well wire is a bit short but other than that good for the money

This is my review of the Zaffiro USB recording microphone. This microphone is available through Amazon and is priced at around $50.The microphone arrived today (05-29-19), it was well packaged and secure in the box from Amazon. The components for the microphone were well packaged and secure in the foam insert. The package contents consisted of the microphone itself with a nice long USB cable, a spring-loaded extendable arm to mount the microphone in, an adjustable clamp for clamping to your computer table or shelf, a foam sock to put over the microphone for wind protection, and a fairly large circular spray shield for the microphone.Although the components appear to be of good quality, I honestly cannot say the same for the documentation or rather lack thereof. The only documentation that comes with the microphone is a small three-page fold out with a minimal user guide. There are no instructions on how to assemble the entire microphone set up, however it is relatively easy to figure out how it goes together from the pictures on the box and on the front of the user manual.As far as setting up use with Windows, it is relatively uncomplicated. Plug the microphone into an available USB slot, and it’s pretty much plug-and-play from there. The manual recommends plugging directly into a USB port on the computer rather than a USB hub for best performance.The manual provides a few short paragraphs on how to set the microphone up for Windows XP Windows 7 and Vista, Windows 8 and Windows 10, and OS X for the Macintosh.On my first try at recording, the volume seemed quite low, although speech fidelity and sound quality was very good. It took me a good half hour to 45 minutes to get everything set up relatively well. There were not really a whole a lot of settings for adjusting the volume aside from the few that come with Windows 10. This I believe is more of a Windows issue than an issue with the microphone, although I wish its output was a little stronger.I tested the microphone in OBS, Windows voice recorder, and am presently dictating this review using the microphone and Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I am speaking in a normal tone of voice with the microphone approximately 6 inches from my mouth. There are relatively few mistakes in the dictation aside from those little annoyances that come naturally when using speech recognition like Dragon. I’m sure I’ll have to go back in and correct numerous small errors. But that is no fault of the microphone.I frequently take part in webinars and having a good microphone available to participate is very important. This will be the biggest test for this microphone, as I’ve had trouble with several microphones in the past – mainly with the volume not being high enough for other participants to hear me clearly. I am hoping this microphone will solve that problem. I do have a small lapel microphone from the same manufacturer, and it works quite well. Hopefully I will have equally good results with this one.In conclusion, for $50 I will keep this microphone and continue to experiment with it. The sound quality itself is very good, the components are high quality, and setting up a microphone is a relatively simple plug-and-play procedure. The one weak point of the whole product in my opinion is the very minimal documentation. But again for $50 it’s a pretty good deal for the average consumer, or casual user.

Ich nutze das Produkt an einer PS4, und es funktioniert einwandfrei mit einer super Qualität.Störend ist einzig die Tatsache, dass die Playstation immer auf das Mikro des Headsets umschaltet, sobald ich die Klinke in den Controller einstecke. Dies lässt sich leider nicht ändern. Ich muss dann immer wieder manuell umstellen auf USB Mikrofon und habe bisher keine Einstellungen in der Playstation gefunden die diesen Vorgang verhindert. Diese Tatsache ist allerdings eine Einstellungs Geschichte an der Playstation und nicht am Mikrofon.
