Nothing-special RC car
This radio control car is a somewhat cheap-seeming ready-to-run toy for the price — though the chassis and components are well-built it's not as much fun to drive as you might think. The out-of-box experience is awful (the packaging is impossible to get open, the AA batteries for the remote are not included, the battery isn't charged and must be removed from the car body before charging), so you'll definitely want to plan to unpack, charge, and set it up before giving it as a gift to a kid so that they can have fun with it immediately. (The car isn't suitable for young children anyhow since it has a lot of fiddly little parts typical of adult-oriented RC toys and isn't very durable against throwing and crashing and part loss.) Then you'll have to figure out where the tiny little power button is hidden on the chassis — on the top side underneath the body — and how to attach the included lights, if desired (which I haven't yet worked out and isn't mentioned in the badly-written directions). Once that's all done you can race it around — on concrete and floors exclusively, since it rides very low and has slick tires. I found it kind of boring to drive considering the AWD drift car concept, slower than expected, and harder to actually drift — particularly because the controls prevent throwing it from forward into reverse, which you'd think would be part of the definition of "drift car," instead imposing a delay. Anyhow, it is an acceptable toy but I think there are better alternatives for the price.

No rubber tires currently available.
I gave it all 5 stars for what this rc car is designed for. However I wish there was a rubber tire option. Not everyone is a drifter.Springs are stiff, front and rear axles are locked. Spin one and the other 3 go in the same direction. The owners manual claims there are other body styles available...I'm not sure where to find them.Drifts are easy and well maintained. The car runs surprisingly quiet with the hard plastic tires. And it does more like I want on the carpet vc the concrete. The body kinda resembles the first generation nsx.For a person who is into drifting...this is a good small package.

Decent Remote Control Car
It has taken a while to write this as time has slipped away from me. The quality of this car is not great, it was already starting to break about 3 weeks into ownership. Once it started it kept getting worse. I would not recommend.

Drifts well, hobby grade
So it took a month to get here but. I just got done with the first run and it lasted longer than I expected. It seems pretty durable by being able to block most hits with the body. Alot faster than I expected couldn't get it to full speed in my living room. Does drifts no problem though it may take a second to practice before you can do it well. It is so easy and fun to do a fishtail. This thing is basicly hobby grade. 1000x better than anything else you could find for the price.

Works well but lags in response
I have been playing with the Rc Cars toy car for awhile and it works fairly well. The remote requires 2 AA batteries and the car is easily charged. There are some extra parts for those that might get lost or wrecked. The car goes forward and back, turns easily and can be run at two speeds. Generally slow has been plenty fast in the house. The problem is that when the remote lever is pushed forward or back to change car direction, it must be repeated. the car will be going forward and then the lever slid back to reverse and nothing happens. It must be done again, sometimes more than once to get it to respond. It seems to always work in the end. I question whether this will continue to occur or if it will get more frequent. The other odd thing about the car is that the car on/off button must be reached by either taking off the car body or reaching under the body and feeling around for it. Most kids will not find this a problem, but it is a bother.

proportional steering, works well
good proportional steering control with servo, not the binary left/right cheap steering mechanism

Flimsy, can't get it to hold a charge, won't go backward; I could go on and on
The "body" of this little car is flimsy plastic (not even as strong the plastic in a bottle of water) and crumples a little when you pick it up. I have yet to get it to hold a good charge and it won't go backward at all. It's not easy to turn on or to hook it up for charging. It seems to have decent speed when it does work, but I just don't think it's worth the bother.
