Better than I Expected, Plus Awesome Customer Service
You know how some riding gloves are supple but way too flimsy, and others are heavy mad-max-knuckle-dusters? So does Indie Ridge. They’ve delivered affordable riding gloves that are sturdy, supple, attractive, and well, just right. When I first got them, I really wanted them to fit perfectly out of the box, because it was obvious that the stitching is top quality, the leather is top quality, the lining is fabulous though I have no idea what it is. They were obviously at least what I paid for. I really, really wanted them to fit. But! They were a little tight in the pinky and thumb. Then I saw the insert card that came with them, promising “concierge service.” Say what?Ok, what the heck! I called up the company, and Steve, founder and owner, picked up the phone and assured me that if they didn’t break in properly, he wanted me to call him right back, and he was going to ship me a bigger size then and there. “Don’t worry about it,” he said. “ I don’t want you thinking about your gloves when you’re riding. If they don’t fit right, just call me.” I gotta say I was immediately relaxed, because I never know what to expect when I try to return something, especially if they are leather products that I have tried my best to break in!Fortunately, with just a little stretching here and there, and a lotta riding, I got them to the point where they conform perfectly to my hands. You know how sometimes you’re in a hurry and you leave your gloves inside your helmet, hanging from the bars when you head into a store or something? You won’t do that with these once you have them broken in. They’re too nice to lose.Been a long time since I fell in love with something I go riding with, other than my bike itself. I’m in love with these gloves. Go ahead and buy them and don’t worry about it. If they don’t work for you, Steve at Indie Ridge will take care of you.

I REALLY want to like these
I bought these to replace a pair of Joe Rocket gloves that are starting to wear thin in places. The overall fit and finish of the gloves is beautiful. The leather is clear and blemish free. The stitching is top notch and attractive. My problem was that even ordering a large, I was unable to realistically wear these. I read the other feedback that the gloves run small and thought a large would be sufficient, as my current gloves are larges and have always been comfortable. I was wrong. I tried to wear them on two rides, hoping they would loosen up. Then never did. I ended up with my hands cramping up and hurting for days. I've given them to my son.

After 2800 miles...
I really wanted to like these gloves because they were pricey ($70 for XXL) and my general impression was they were quality in their construction and materials. But fit is everything and after buying 3 different sizes I returned all 3 but found the XXL fit best but still not great. Sure, like you, I read countless reviews about how they will "break-in". Good luck with that. I just rode 2800 miles over 7 days and they fit exactly like the first day I put them on. The middle finger wasn't long enough. The palm leather was bulky and created an extremely inconvenient wrinkle between your palm and your motorcycle grip. The back of the hand leather was too tight so as not to allow your hand to stay in the grip position without constant strain. Had I not had electronic cruise control to allow my hands to rest along the ride it would've been a disaster with these gloves. These gloves however utilize quality materials in my opinion and the stitching is first rate. The seams are somewhat uncomfortable and that doesn't improve with wear. The elastic cuff is too small and very hard to slide over hand especially when you have a little sweat on it. Hand protection should you go down is top notch. Lots of protection built into the gloves design. Touch screen compatibility was mediocre at best. Best temperature range to use these gloves would be between 50-70 degrees. Fingertips began to numb below 50 and they were suffocating me at 75 degrees. Good luck!

They fit and feel great when riding...
Sorry for the long story here but I had to take a BRC course to get my motorcycle endorsement and I put these gloves to a bit of a test. When I signed up, the requirement was that I need to bring riding leather gloves and noted "they must be leather". So I figured if I am going to buy gloves I might as well by armored ones and these looked like a good choice. I followed the hand measuring instructions and I got the recommended size but I read in other reviews that there is some "breaking in" time so about a week before the class I planned to start putting them on every day to get them comfortable. I put them on and held my hands in fists to stretch them but my knuckles started hurting from the knuckle armor about a couple minutes in. So I made my peace with that and I did not put them on again until the BRC course. When we started the BRC course the instructor said that we could wear something like garden gloves as long as they are not rubber so I took some garden gloves with me to use but I threw these in the car just in case. The course was 2 days of riding and the first day the temperature was in the 50s but very windy. I put the garden gloves on and soon I realized that my fingers were freezing. As soon as we took the first break, I went to the car and got these gloves on. These gloves turned out to be perfect, kept my hands warm enough to be comfortable the rest of the day and because holding the handle bars is not a tight fist, the armor did not hurt my knuckles at all.The next day the temperature was in the 70s and there was no wind. I was wearing these gloves from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM under direct sunlight and although I felt that I was sweating a bit at times, I would not say that the gloves where uncomfortable. Keep in mind that the exercises performed in this course are low speed and long periods of being on the motorcycle stopped getting instructions and waiting your turn. I am sure that I would not sweat at all if I was riding a motorcycle at normal speeds even at higher temperatures.I am very pleased I got these gloves and I highly recommend them.
