While the 'performance' of the pen is much left to the ink insert this pen is very well made. There is a positive 'click' that ensures the cap is securely in place. The included ink inserts are pretty nice as well. I haven't used 'Schneider' Topball 850 before but they write pleasantly well. Speaking to the physical structure the all metal construction and tapered end are not too thin or too aggressive of a chamfer to make holding the pen frustrating. In the past some metal pens were too thin or tapered down too aggressively making them difficult to hold using my preferred style. This pen seems to be shaped in such a way with the writer in mind. Bang for the buck and physical styling coupled with rock solid construction, this is a nice addition to my daily planner / work portfolio.

I am enjoying this pen. Its heavy, and thick, like I like. Easy to hold. The cap seams to stay on the back pretty well.writes well. I wish the blue refill it came with was a little brighter blue in color. However the pilot g2 blue refills fit and the colors are what I'm looking for. Overall great pen.Update: I found that the pentel EnerGel 0.7 blue fit just fine. It gives me the color of blue ink I like, it doesn't skip. Love it more now and I have ordered the new blue pen in both the rollerball and ballpoint.

This pain looks good and nice grip. The ink is rich and flows well. There is one big problem! The parts is supposed to hold the head or the top of the pin has broken only after a few months. I cannot find an avenue on Amazon to complain or return it. This may be the last product I ordered from this company.So thr top to cover the ball point has come apart. You must have the top covered because the ink will drip into your clothes. Disappointed

This pen is a Schneider 850 so I’ll skip how it writes etc because that’s a function of the cartridge and not the pen.Honestly, this pen is awkward to hold, and over time the cap comes loose so it rotates freely and takes almost zero effort to take off. Im concerned sooner than later the cap isn’t going to remain on at all, especially if you post the cap like I do.This pen costs too much for this kind of fit and feel. Not worth the money.

Nice pen, arrived on time, writes nice, as a $35 pen should. Just to be clear, they consider the ink already in the pen as a refill., so there is one refill , a total of 2.

Pen feels great , but it does skip from time to time, it’s gotta be held perfectly upright, also a bit messy , I’ve noticed ink spots on my hand after use , totally surprised me , since the refills are made in Germany , If they improve the refills , this pen would be golden . I really don’t like writing negative stuff , take it as constructive criticism.

I purchased for a gift. The presentation is nice with a hinged box with a magnetic closure. I purchased the gray color for a men's gift. I like a fine point and this one has a nice ink flow and line. I am happy with the purchase and may purchase more.

There is a nice weight to the pen, and the ink flow is so smooth and nice. It doesn't skip or smudge. I ordered the pen in red. I was surprised to see a very bright red. I had hoped it was a little darker. The color it is more like a CocaCola red; it looked darker online. Over all, it's a nice pen.
