Good Flavor, "Low Sugar"
I found these to have very nice flavor, and still be moist and chew-able compared to some of the other dried fruit I've been ordering. (More moist than I'd expect for dried, but clearly still dried.)The fruit is still sweet tasting, however if the nutrition label is correct there are no added sugars, just the natural ones. It doesn't taste overly sweetened, so I'm able to believe that, though it's a little confusing that it lists "low sugar" in the "ingredients" when nutrition says none added. Label says normal 2.5 grams per a spear; I'm not a food scientist, but I suspect that's probably just what's in the normal fruit. (If you're expecting 0 sugar in a fruit product then you're looking for some thing artificial, which this I'm pretty sure is not.)For reference, the spears I got were roughly 5"L x 0.75" x 0.5", and based on the labeling and such I suspect it's roughly one spear per serving. I may elect cut these up for some of my uses, but I'm perfectly fine with that!Came in a resealable pouch with nutrition facts, not overdone in the packaging but still professional and functional. (I don't need fancy packaging, so that's a thumbs up for me.)

I almost gave this a lesser review...
Shipping was very slow. Seemed like an eternity for a simple little package. It finally showed up and the packaging was damaged. I took off the first layer that had a bunch of holes in it. Went to the second layer and it had what appeared to be rodent chewing attempting to get to the product. Fortunately when I got to the final bag nothing had been touched. Not sure where this thing sat for so long to get to the mice but it happened. Anyway I open them up and to my delight these are the best papaya spears I've ever had in my life. And I've been eating them for over 30 years. Hence the five stars. I just need to give them longer to show up, and then I'll be a happy camper. Hopefully the mice won't be...

It is sweet, but there is a little tart taste too
It is sweet, but had a little tartness in the flavor that is not my favorite. I still ate it all but lasted me a while. Large bag for the money but I would pay more for my favorite flavor.

Label is BS.
Nutritional info is bs! Serving size is 30 gram, but carb content is 86 gram? Literally, and physically, impossible. Should be about 25 grams. Also, this has much more than 2.5 grams of sugar. Dried papaya's sugar content is about 90% of the total carb content. So that would be about 20+grams of sugar. Definitely spiked my blood sugar. That being said, definitely tasty (probably due to the sugar)! 1 star due to the dishonest label.

no sugar, lower calorie
why add sugar to sweet fruit? SanMac does it right by offering no sugar added fruits.

Excellent! Hard to Find this Quality in Stores
One of the reviews below said, “moist and chew-able.” Exactly. They also have more of a translucent visual quality to them than other, inferior, spears that appear frosty like crystalized honey. These look and taste fresh and properly dried. This is the kind of dried papaya spears I used to buy in an out-of-the-way food coop that carried all the best fresh fruits and veggies, and took pride in what they carried. Been years since I’ve found this quality again, so I’m very happy to find these.I will DEFINITELY be ordering more.

Perfect for cutting up and adding to my oatmeal mix
Delicious. Not too sweet. They are somehow magically not sticky, so I can easily cut them into cubes for my oatmeal mix. And no sulphur, so they don’t trigger angular cheleitis or atopic dermatitis.
