✨ A TOUCH TO ETERNITY ✨ another masterpeice from D²I would have given 10/5 stars for it🤩🤩🤩🤩.It's the best novel of Durjoy Dutta till now💯💯.And I must say this one is litrally out off the general genre he have used before in all of his books. Totally off topic yaaarrr!! But a brilliant concept. Cheers to Druvan and Anvesha. Durjoy's other books are only romantic full with relationship , break-up patch up gf bf stuff. But in this book he just put everything with little romance too. It's indeed a love story but the storyline is totally different and very very very very thrilling. Most important thing is that it's not a sad ending book. It's his I guess first science fiction mixed with romance book. But let me warn to the one who's going to read this book that u will have to take a mobile with u while reading it.... Because there are lot of terms that goes bouncer..... And I must say durjoy has researched a lot I can tell. I am furious reader , usually I read a book (if it's interesting) in a day or max to max two..... but this book took me 6 days to complete..... litraly thrilled with the small surprises within the story till the end. In this book u will find C-vics , History , Geography, Chemistry, Psychology and more subjects interconnected in a very beautiful way.....That makes this book more than awesome.....I know what happened through out the story is impossible (for now atleast) but the way Durjoy sir put it , it litrally made me believe in all that... Science and God connected. Etc etc That particle collider and vasuki everything is just waaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!! 🤩🤩One last tip to all the future readers of this book is.... u won't get most of the things in one go but the words ahead will lead u back to that page what u haven't understood completely.....Just read a line two time if it's not clear to u.....Awesome thrilling book I have ever read.a literally must buy book.🤯🤯💕❣️A small request to Durjoy Sir is that ...... Life. Love. Soul. Eternity.(No spoilers)These words were the constants of the book which spoke and garnered the most attention. Since Perfect Us, Durjoy has been concentrating on a contrasting form of writing which goes into the societal norms with the overlaying structure of love intact. A Touch of Eternity, set in a dystopian future has seen unprecedented success in Science and carved a breakthrough in Reincarnation of soul. The book has a subtle first act of introducing the characters with a good impression for the people to review and connect with. Druvan and Anvesha, born on the same day, have an attachment which goes beyond their timeline. However, greed and contrasting opinions create minor hurdles in their relationship. That is till the second act opens up in its full flourished glory. Durjoy sir really went the distance and crossed unknown boundaries of politics, religion and sanity of the mankind with a relative ease which makes the reader convinced in what the protagonists of the story are trying to talk through. However, some unexplained points and some over explained points create a drab in between the pages. The utopian setting defines the idea with ease but execution is a little bit messed up. But as Durjoy sir is a master of the Third Act of a novel, he executes the same with his finesse and star touch all the same. Druvan and Anvesha go through a real test of time and fate for their choices in the relationship which make you laugh as well as cry. The end really changes the tone of the book as no one could predicted such a dramatic ending.Conclusively, the book follows in the footsteps of Durjoy sir’s previous work, Wish I could Tell You, which makes us think for a relatively more time in comparison to other Coffee table Novels. Also, I have seen Durjoy sir use his Engineering degree in some sense which means that his four years in DTU was not a complete waste. XD.A recommended Novel for people who want to read something afresh in Love stories compared to the half baked tragedies with only boyfriend- girlfriend drama and earth shattering depictions of sexual intercourses. Soulmates is a word which couples often use nowadays for legitimising their relationship and seem it make forever. But it isn’t forever until and unless you live the concept of ' Do Jism, Ek Jaan’.

“A Touch of Eternity” by Durjoy Datta is an extraordinary story of a couple Anvesha and Druvan, who were to be perfect soulmates for each other since the time they were born. Born on the same day, at the same time, and are inseparable. But as the blurb says, when the time comes, can one stay true to their soulmate?This will take you into a whole new world of technology, where soul transfer is possible. Although, it is a fictional story, though through the pages of the book one can travel in the world where this concept is real.I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the book; it beautifully covers the relation of Anvesha and Druvan with each other, with their friends and family. What I liked the most is that the author has given proper character development to every person in the story. Alongside, a parallel plot that goes simultaneously in the book is related to a science experiment; a reincarnation program.As the story progresses, we see how the ongoing reincarnation program and the life of Anvesha and Druvan get linked up. The book in its second half focuses mainly on the process of aatma/soul transfer, political drama, riots, mass murders etc. At this phase, it feels like the plot of soulmates was lost and overshadowed. I understand that the author wanted to provide a base to the science experiment but I guess it became a little extra, repetitive, and over the top. It could have been cut short.However, I am glad that towards the end, the whole thing went back to our soulmates in the actual sense. “Ek Jism Do Jaan”… Science is Future; Future is Science
