When you purchase your ZenZoi pen, it will come with a refillable cartridge you can use for your own ink, however these are so simple and allow for much more freedom than the refillable cartridge.To switch the cartridge takes 30 seconds, and a few good shakes to get the ink flowing, and that’s it. There are no extra steps to take. It’s as simple as unscrewing the pen, removing and throwing away the old cartridge, snapping in the new one, and putting the pen back together.Not only are the cartridges easy to use and replace, but the quality of ink is also higher than the other pens I’ve used in the past. The colors are vibrant, the ink is smooth, it dries quickly, and doesn’t bleed through the paper. I especially love being able to switch between ink colors depending on what I’m writing in the moment. If I’m writing a letter I can use fun colors like pink or purple, and when it’s time to switch to more professional work I can use blue or black.The value in having a versatile, easy to use, high quality pen is obvious. Having used these for well over a year, they are amazing. Nice color selection, which is great as this was for a art journal. I'm more used to dip pens and the super old fashioned bladder pens. This works really nice, no mess, not much fuss. Lil hard to snap them into place in my pen, but that's a pen design issue not cartridge. I can usually letter several pages, I did my nephews recipe book in about 2 cartridges. They do tend to dry up/vanish if they sit to long, so I've lost several cartridges to that lil factoid of life. All in all, a good cartridge for a calligraphy or fountain pen. I really like the intense pigments of the purple and green. The black and blue are kind of standard, the Red is a bit more pinkish then I thought but I like that as well.

I bought these ink cartridges for my Zenzoi Bamboo pen set. This ink is good but a little watery. On certain paper, it is less than opaque and is too watery to use on notebook paper because it spreads too much and bleeds through two sheets of paper. I still like the ink as it comes in many colors and will look good on cardstock and printer paper.

A few days ago I have purchased a ZenZoi fountain pen and since I have recently run out of ink, I was debating whether to buy these refills or to keep using the regular ink and the converter that comes with a ZenZoi pen. I have eventually decided on purchasing this refill pack. First of all, because I like to change the colors I write in. Those are amazing – blue, black, green, red, pink and purple, all very intensive and beautiful. You can literally pick one that suits your mood! Second of all, the price is very affordable, and they are also very useful. Say, I go out to school and happen to unexpectedly run out of ink. These refills are extremely easy to transport and therefor I can always have an additional one in my bag, just in case. I have not experience any bursts or leaks. It is great to have such an variety of options and colors for the ZenZoi pen!

Too bad they leak - they make a real mess! I've tried them on RotRing's Artpen and on the Pen&Ink pen. Both resulted in severe leaks. The problem appears to be related to the penetration of the plastic cartridge. It appears to blow out the entire end face of the cartridge resulting in the cartridge fitting very loosely - which allows ink to massively leak out. Waste of time; waste of money and it makes a mess.

okay colors but they don't fit international pens. mine's a german pen, brand 'online' and it's the same size as LAMY fountain pens for cartridges. these refills are too short and just fall out. but i managed to tape a piece of cardboard to the back to make it fit snug. it writes well anyway, and the colors are good.

As a graphic artist living in Minnesota and having ordered the Zenzoi multi- colored 24 pack of ink cartridges and related products during winter, the package arrived cold of course. I allowed the inks to warm for a few hours and then tried my Zenzoi Fountain Pens and ink. The ink flowed smoothly and was not frozen or watered down from frost as what usually happens under such conditions. All of the ink colors were vibrant, dried fast and did not smear without great effort. I will reorder more.
