Cat Paw Silicone Resin Molds

I love these molds but had 2 issues. First issue is that half are shiny and half are matte. I didn’t realize it until I had already poured them and removed the. Second issue is they are too thick. I never fill them all the way up. It’s good to have the option but I can’t imagine why anyone would want them to be that thick.

As I was about to pour into my piece, I discovered that there was a hole in one of the paw areas. If I had continued to pour more resin in it, the resin would have leaked out.

I love this mold! The paws are absolutely adorable! I did have a snag, but I believe it to be due to my own error. On 2 of the paws I made the silicone stuck to the project and tore a little on the rim. But I believe that's because I got it too hot with my torch and it fused with the resin as silicone milds do, (I've done this on accident before and ruined my mold, woops). But besides my hiccup, these are awesome! They are big and thick! But you can easily adjust how thick they come out by only filling the molds half way. These are so much fun! And honestly, if the mold were to ruin, I still probably by another!

I like the size but, if you want them for keychains, it’s probably best to only fill them up halfway. Also, half of them are shiny and half are matte finish. Just look at the inside and you will see which is which. I didn’t know the half and half thing when I first poured a set and was confused when half came out matte. Just make sure to look if you want a certain finish.I’ve ended up cutting mine into singles to make pours easier and the matte ones are squares while the shiny ones are circles. Easy for me to find which one I want now.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm in love with these molds! They're easy to demold and they bring out my creativity. The downside is each paw does use quite a bit of resin, so I have to make sure I get my design right. I'm not great at that ^^; In the video I incorporated bits and pieces I bought from Amazon and my drawings (not great at that either =^p) These paws are a lot of fun to make. I'm going to buy more.

I wouldn't say that these are Keychain size at all, they're better to use as a paper weight. I'll update once I've used it.

I received this yesterday and was very excited since I have had a few people asking if I do cat keychains. First, let me start off with the positives. It is very cute, easy to work with. Now. It doesn't look like it but these use ALOT of epoxy. I tried to make half one color and the other half another, but kept running out of my mix. Each time I would mix 90 ml of epoxy and that would not fill even 3 paws! That's after I first colored the pads one color as you see on the pictures. Anyway. This morning I let it set overnight, go to unmold them and all of them stuck, except the smaller one (I ran out of epoxy on that and didn't want to mix up another batch). But they all stuck in about the same spot. Right by the pads of the paw. I tried to be gentle and everything, but it would not release. The mold is ruined. I am more mad I wasted all that epoxy on these actually really cute paws that I can not use. They did turn out great, with the exception of having chunks of silicone on them. Buy at your own risk. I know I will NEVER buy from this company again.
