Healthy Skin & Coat is right!
I'll start this review by giving a little relevant background for the reason I came to purchase this liquid. Some awful people have been dropping animals at my home in the middle of the night. All have been 24-48 hours from death. One of these precious innocent abandoned animals is a Shih Tzu & Pekingese mix dog. When she arrived here, she was 99% bald. What fur she did have was dull (from being emaciated/malnourished I'm sure), matted and coated with what looked and smelled like swamp water, literally stuck to her like glue, very obviously painful. It took 4+ hours of bathing her to remove it all from her skin. Once I got a good look at the condition of her skin, it was awful! It was red, clearly inflamed, almost appearing as if the fur had been burned off of her body. She was in a lot of pain, whimpering a lot and just rolling around to try and scratch because it itched so badly. I immediately began feeding her foods that were high in omega fatty acids. But I knew that wouldn't be enough with the condition she was in. That's how I came across this Lipiderm Healthy Skin & Coat here on Amazon. (Thanks to all of you who wrote reviews) Within 2 days of adding this in her food, I saw a difference and could tell she was gradually becoming much more comfortable in her skin. After using this product for a month or two now, her hair has all grown back (even getting long like her breed should, which is such a *fast* turn-around from her original bald condition!) and the skin and coat is shiny and very healthy. Her skin is no longer inflamed either. She never minded the taste of this liquid at all which was really nice. She just gobbled it right up, still to this day. This was an easy 5 star deserving product from my experience. I only noticed one issue but it was not enough for me to rate it 4 stars instead. The breed I have are known for very sensitive digestive systems. It took a little while to find the dosage that did not upset her stomach a bit. Now that she is very healthy, I don't typically add this to her food every day and that solved the tummy issue; And I use a little less when I do add it every other day or so. If you too have a pup that tends to have a sensitive stomach, you may need to use a little less than recommended like I do, just to see how your sweet angel does with it and adjust accordingly. But I really believe in this wonderful product and will continue to use it for as long as they make it. I highly recommend it, for general health with all the essential vitamins and oils in it and of course if your 4 legged friend/child is having trouble with their fur or skin. I sincerely hope this review has helped you!**As a side note, this 16oz bottle really does, in my opinion during these tough financial times for so many, give you "a lot of bang for your buck." As mentioned above I have been using this for a month or two and I am nowhere near running out. So I truly feel it's a great value for such an effective cure!**

Lipiderm - AKA Liqiud Gold
I owned a pet shop and heard about Lipiderm from customers. After several had requested the product, I began to carry it AND took a bottle home for my little Yorkie who had such severe allergies that her scratching drove both of us crazy. My baby had a champion background but was bald from her waist back. She was on special food and shampoo from the vet as well as Predisone daily - nothing made a big difference - that is until I put her on Lipiderm. Almost immediately her scratching subsided. Then I noticed one day as I was petting her that she was growing hair. At one point, she ran out of her Predisone and instead of refilling it I decided to withhold it and see what happened. My thought was that I could always get it IF she started the constant itching again BUT she didn't!! Then we went to visit my parents and I forgot to take the Lipiderm - she started scratching like crazy. We got home and I gave her the Lipiderm - almost immediately she stopped her insistent scratching. We now have a Llasa Apso who has the same severe allergies and I wouldn't be without Lipiderm. I heard report after report from my customers which prompted me to give it the nickname "Liquid Gold" and it truly is. Bioglan Labs formulated it - it is 3 omega fatty acids with an NATURAL anti-inflammatory agent in it. Bioglan spent a fortune formulating a water based product - oil based products can cause stomach problems. I couple it with Medi Cleen Shampoo by Lambert Kay and it is a winning combination for any dog with skin problems - one works externally while the other works internally. Bioglan Labs has since sold the formula to another company but I am as sold on it today as I was 15 yrs ago when I first used the product. When I closed my pet shop, I told Bioglan Labs that the main reason I hated to close my shop was not being able to tell people about Lipiderm - and I truly meant that.

Lipiderm Healthy Skin & Coat works
My border collie mix dog has short hair that is coarse in texture. The only time he had really soft hair was after a bath, then it would quickly become dull and brittle again. I feed him a very high quality dog food with limited ingredients because he is allergic to wheat, corn, soy and whatever else there is in regular dog food that made him itch and scratch a lot. Eliminating these ingredients pretty much solved his scratching problem, but he had a dull coarse coat. I have used several brands of liquid and pill coat and skin conditioners added to his food but they never really made his hair soft until I tried Lipiderm Healthy Skin & Coat. This stuff really works on him and he eats it without hesitation. My other dog is a border collie but she has a silky soft coat. I also give her Lipiderm Healthy Skin & Coat with her meal but don't know whether the beautiful waves she has developed in her coat are due to this, eating a high quality food, or a combination. Both are rescue dogs so I don't know their history, except they were in pretty pitiful shape when I adopted them. Now they are beautiful loving members of our family. (I bought this product at Amazon.com because I have never had a problem with an order with them, and I order most of the items I can't get locally through them. I have used them for years.)

Fluffy soft dog hair and no constant scratching!
Our dog, Charlie, has some allergy issues. As a result, there are certain times when scratching seems to be almost as important to him as breathing. We tried Benadryl (it works but it also renders him listless) and we switched his food to something more natural. The food switch helped but he was still scratching. And though his coat was soft it still felt a bit dry at times.Enter Lipiderm. On the recommendation of someone at the dog park, I bought this and started adding a spoonful to his evening meals. He has had no upset stomach and doesn't seem to mind the taste or texture. I've actually seen him go back after a meal and lick the bowl clean. His coat is softer and shinier than ever and his scratching is reduced from never-ending to on-occasion. We are thrilled and will continue to add this to his evening meal.(Charlie is a Cairn terrier mix.)
