I have a small studio apartment slightly underground. I haven't lived in a basement/underground in a while so having to deal with moisture again was very jarring. I ended up buying this dehumidifier to try and remedy that. Granted it is very small apartment, and it seems to be collecting moisture in the air pretty well. So far, no issues with it pumping out any heat and it's pretty easy to empty the water. I've had no problems with powering it in the 3 weeks I've had it but I'll keep an eye out and update the review if I run into issues.I'd keep this one for a bathroom or a closet or very small apartment. (We tried it with my friend's apartment who has a slightly larger studio but it didn't seem to work as well there).

My master bathroom is between my walk-in closet and master bedroom. This is southern Louisiana where moisture and humidity are a ridiculous problem. I set the dehumidifier on the bathroom counter, closest to the walk-in closet, where I need it most to protect the closet’s contents. I was pleased after only the first week! Most of what’s in the closet had this chronic dampness to it, even with the exhaust venting. Now, even the clothes in the bedroom dresser drawers no longer have a damp feel, and I was prepared to buy a second for the bedroom! The ambient air feels normal as opposed to close to the outdoor humidity level. Folks with more square footage may require more than one device, but I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. Not too noisy either. I keep it on night mode.

We bought this humidifier on the recommendation of our daughter who had been using one in her apartment. We put one in an upstairs bedroom to try to prevent mold and the musty smell that would creep up when the rains were heavy . It worked so well for us through a very wet winter that we bought a second one for the downstairs. We were very surprised to see how much water was captured in just a few days. It is very easy to maintain and we have recommended it to others.
