Stovax Spray On Stove Glass Cleaner

Have used Stovax for at least ten years and recommend unreservedly. I find it easier to squirt a couple of times onto damp kitchen towel in order to rub onto woodburner glass, then damp kitchen towel to remove the resultant gloop, then dry kitchen towel to finish. Brilliant result every time and all done in few minutes. Product lasts ages if stove is used properly for wood burning (I need to use about once a month, with daily use of stove).

Removes deposits effortlessly.

Our wood burner used to keep it's glass clean nearly all the time, but now we have a back boiler installed there is a brown haze on the glass every morning.There are various grades of glass cleaners, from vinegar (good for gentle cleaning) through spray on (like this one) to the gells (for extreme build up). I have heard that you can use oven cleaner but haven't tried that.Stovax cleaner is very easy to use and works well. A couple of squirts and a wipe with a damp rag is all you do. You will be cleaning the inside of the glass with the door open, so put some newspaper under the opened door to collect drips which might stain your hearth. The cleaner contains sodium which is heavy and drips very quickly.If you are consistently getting build up deposits on the glass it may be because your flue needs cleaning and/or you are burning wood that is too wet.

Easy to use. Spray glass and leave for 5 minutes then wipe of with a crumpled sheet of newspaper. Any dark spots remaining repeat the process. Should be done regularly or after each fire.

Been using this product for years, good as ever.

The product is probably very good but the packaging was awful. It had been externally wrapped in black cling film around a cardboard wrapper. The container had leaked and the edge of the cardboard was wet and the two bags the container was in were wet where the spray aerosol had leaked and part of the product label had got damaged and was unreadable. Therefore I consider the packaging was inadequate to send this type of container. I did take some photos of the packaging but am unable to download them from my phone at present.
