Wonderful!
I think this product is clever and extremely helpful. The website of the seller has videos to help with placement although (my only criticism) I didn't find the videos explicit enough on placement (for my mind) but I did get enough of an idea to figure it out (eventually) on my own. If you have a chiropractor, s/he can help you with the placement too. Part of the reason I had trouble with placement is because I found the wedgy painful to use. The videos did explain that this is often normal if you are very tight in your low back and/or it can also mean that you just need to adjust it up or down a fraction of an inch - most people use it too high up and that can hurt. Also, if you are tight, just bend your knees for awhile until you relax into it. Also, you can use a towel over it to soften it but usually if you find the right spot it is comfortable. Work into it gradually! So does it work? For me, absolutely yes! What relief it gives! I absolutely love it.My chiropractor told me about this little gem but also said you can just use a rolled up towel. I tried that and it works as well but even better is a small bean bag I had hanging around - that works great too and is extremely comfortable. I am glad I bought the wedgy though because it showed me how it is supposed to fit and work so that I now know how to use a towel or bean bag to achieve the same results. Now that I am more limber though, I find I prefer using the wedgy as it is quick and easy to place and at this point, comfortable.I know it is expensive to consider buying two but I bought both the male and the female and tried them both. Because the female one was so painful at first, I switched to the male and that was much more comfortable for me (I am 5'3" and 108 pounds with a fairly petite frame) but within a week or two I found the male version no longer was as helpful (I'd relaxed enough that it just wasn't lifting me high enough) and then switched to the female one and suddenly it felt much more comfortable. So, for some of you, it might be a thought to buy both. For us, it isn't a waste of money because my husband can use the male version anyway although, he has wide hips and says he like the female one better! lol. Nice to have a selection.

I am a female who had 2 kids and the male version is better
I ordered this for a friend and wanted to try it out myself before deciding whether to buy the male or female version. I'm 5'9" with an average athletic (although I'm not) build with moderate scoliosis. I think this fit well for me and think the female version would've been too wide and short. It does take some trial and error to get the wedge in just the right spot. When I first placed it, it was a little painful, but after i adjusted it, it worked better. My piriformis is out of whack because of my scoliosis and this seemed to help my lower back pain. I only used it a few times before I surrendered it to my friend so I can't comment on the long term effects, but the short term took some of my back pain away. I'm sure with regular use, I would've been pain free with only having to use it occasionally for maintenance.A word of advice, follow the directions especially when they say to roll onto your side to lay down and get up. If your legs have a tendency to roll outwards when you lie on your back, you will be in pain if you use this and try to sit straight up. Even if your legs don't, you will ruin the effects of the wedge by stressing the muscles you are working so hard to relax. My saying as a massage therapist is "It's always better to roll and rock than load and lock." (Put a stress load on the muscles and lock them tight).

Not a total fix but sure helps.
I have left hip and glute pain that started almost 3 years ago. I started with Steroid injections which gave minimal relief and added Physical Therapy a year after the injections. Still not great relief. I can’t find a comfortable position to sleep in and find it hard to sit at work or when driving long distance. I started with the blue male version sacrowedgy and it immediately helped my posture and with pain sitting. If I can’t use it on the floor I put a board under it and use it in bed. For sleeping I take out the board and just use the wedgy. Since the blue one was helping I thought the pink one would be even better. But I didn’t like it as much as the blue one. I am 5’3” and weight 110lbs. Tricky to figure out at first. Try to place the tip of your tailbone in the dented pet or in the space. I haveBeen using the wedgy now for over a month. This has not gotten rid of my pain, but it helps me. I am going to continue to use it.

Item works well but a bath towel works better
I've dealt with sciatica every day for about 6 months. I first bought an inversion table which helps tremendously. Come to find out, my sciatica was mainly caused from the mattress my wife and I bought, it's too soft. After I figured that out, I tried sleeping on a twin mattress that was much firmer for about a week and my back pain went away and it moved into my right buttock area and was causing severe pains down my right leg. It made it very difficult to sit in an office chair or even drive down the road in a car. I studied up on the Sacro-Wedgy and decided to purchase one. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I decided to try a bath towel using the Sacro-Wedgy instructions. I rolled a bath towel up and placed on end of it under me (start at about your waist line). I would just lay down on it while balancing myself on it and relax my lower body. Within 5 minutes the pain diminished and a few days later after the item arrived, the pain was gone. I used the bath towel about 2 times (20 min. each time) a day and the pain was gone. Of course I tested the Sacro-Wedgy out when it arrived. I believe it will do the same thing in relieving pain from the Piriformis muscle being aggravated, in my opinion the bath towel works better and costs about 1/5 of what this product costs. If you're like me and have this type of pain, you should try the bath towel technic before purchasing this.

It took a long time to get it. After following the instructions, for me, I found it hurt my back more than relief. Tried different approaches, set ups and still caused me discomfort and pain. I stopped using it until I see my therapist. To date, it has not helped me. The approximate $60 paid is also in my opinion rather high especially getting any unfound relief satisfaction.

I have found this product is helpful for sciatica in my experience. Repeated use pays off. I wish the instructions offered more representations of how to position the wedgy. The one picture provided was insufficient for me to see how the wedgy is placed. I used an online video for additional help.
