MotorSilk® Engine Oil Treatment

I have used Motor Silk for over 20 years and am very enthusiastic about it. I bought a 1985 used Porsche with about 150,000 miles on it. I started using Motor Silk, replacing it every 100,000 miles. I got to 485,000 miles on the original engine. Then the transmission/transaxle gave out and it would have cost me about the same to fix it as I purchased it for. A few months earlier I had a smog check and passed. I asked how close was I to the smog limit, and was told, no problem, the engine is burning clean!!! I'm sold.

As a former chemist I have some knowledge of molecular bonding types and have a fascination with additives. Most of the products you see advertised have been debunked at some tile or another for outlandish claims and flase results. So, when I read about this product I was skeptical but still curious. I read everything I could about this additive including the specs given regarding Luboron. I also decided to put a bottle in my 1993 Suzuki Sidekick with about 123,000 miles. She now has 345,000 and is still running strong. There is a bit of oil burn at startup but that may fade when I add the next bottle of Motor Silk in a week or so. I must say that on some of the recommendations, this must be replenished at 50k and not 100k. That seems to make more sense to me. In closing, I fully recommend this product as have others here.

This is an amazing product. I have a 2002 F150 Lariat SuperCrew Fx4 w/5.4L has engine and 210,000 miles. I have used full synthetic since i bought it used at 165k miles. I poured this in and i literally heard the engine quiet down. The truck just felt stronger and more responsive. I followed the instructions specifically stating to replace oil filter as this will clean the engine etc. i don’t get over just how smooth the engine runs now and how quiet it is. I highly recommend this product

I am using this in a Ford expedition I bought new in October of 1996 which now has over 280100 miles and has had only routine maintenance. At first I could tell no difference but after about 100 miles there was a noticeable smoothing of the engine. I pulled up to a light and had to look at the tachometer to see if the engine was still running. The jury is still out on this stuff but I am watching the mileage to see if there is any improvement in fuel economy.

Been using motorsilk in all my S.U.Vs And Pickups for years. In every case, the engine smooths to the point that most of the time, when I stop at a red light I have to look at the tachometer to make sure it's still running. It also quieted the valve noise in my 5.4L triton F-150 with 250,000 miles on it.

I will try to contact company. I've used this product over the years. It should be thick and milky after mixing. This was a thin blue clear liquid. Just used the first of 4 I bought in April. Hopefully Amazon will honor return.

I noticed a slight impovement in the vehicle "noise" the engine makes. I assume since I did nothing else but add these additives that this is the reason why. My engine's chain was making a loud noise, it has since rarely made the noise. My mechanic said this should save my engine and extend its life, I am hoping that is the case.

I put this in one of my older cars at the recommendation of a coworker to increase my engine life, ended getting an mpg boost from 23.5 to 26 mpg as well. If it lasts the 100,000 miles the manufacturer claims this will easily pay for itself with fuel savings alone.
