Customer support second to none
I purchased one of these in Jan of 2011 and it worked flawlessly until Nov of 2012 prior to a presentation that unfortunately had to be done without projection. Whilst looking for a replacement I noticed that the Amazon description mentioned a 'lifetime warranty' so I emailed Neet Cables on Sunday. Within hours on the Sunday I received a courteous reply that they rarely have any issues with this product and would gladly replace the cable. I received the replacement in the Tuesday morning post, connected it to the projector and problem solved it displayed as expected.Rarely do you encounter this sort of customer support nowadays and when you do it is gratifying to be able to bring it the attention of any prospective customers as a reassuring and important aspect that can be considered in the purchasing decision. I am one very satisfied customer, thank you Danny and Neet Cables.Additional commentI have just seen amongst the other reviews one from Henry Trull in America who received the same response as myself. If you need any more proof of their dedication to excellent customer support see his review also.

Works fine for me! (Not any more - beware MBA owners)
**Review update** - I have "upgraded" from a MacBook Pro to a MacBook Air - which has failed to connect to 3 different projectors using this adapter. If you look on Apple's own site even the official Apple adapter seems to have mixed success rates depending on type of projector/type of VGA cable, etc. So this is not necessarily a problem with this adapter, more an issue with the new MacBook Air. So, on 3 occasions I have been unable to present using my laptop. You may want to consider that if you are using a MacBook Air.This works fine connecting my MacBookPro 13" model to a VGA based projector. The projector (Panasonic brand, can't recall the model) detected straight away, defaulted to basic 800x600 resolution but easy to set to the better 1024x768 via display preferences. I have it set as a second display so my keynote presentation is on the wall and the notes are on my laptop screen, no problems at all. Build quality very good. Few pounds cheaper than the official Apple one but does the same job for me.Recommended.

Not managed to make it work yet - but great service from Neet
I have tried this adapter with a VGA projector (which works fine on Windows PCs), and with a 2 year old widescreen TV/Monitor (which works fine on my old Linux PC). I'm using a new 2012 MacBook Pro.Both the projector and the monitor were unable to pick up a signal.I'm going to be sending this adapter back as it seems like a dud one...[EDIT: I've increased the rating, mainly because of the excellent customer service received from Neet, and because, from looking around the web, it seems that connecting modern MacBooks to old VGA equipment can be extremely problematic.]

A stunning little adaptor!
I bought this adaptor so that I could use an external (large) monitor with my new Macbook Pro using the tiny Thunderbolt port. This works so well there's nothing to say - it arrived promptly, I plugged it in, the monitor and laptop got acquainted with each other, it worked very well in 'two screen' mode. I assume that if I'd plugged in a projector, it would either have switched over to 'copy the laptop screen contents to the projector' mode or else there would be a way of doing it manually, but as I don't have access to a projector, I can't verify that.Note that a standard VGA to VGA cable is needed as well. Also note that audio does not pass along a VGA cable - a separate connection is needed for that. (VGA is basically a RGB connection)

Doesn't Work Properly with a PC
I've been using this a few months plugged in to a PC graphics card (ATI Radeon 6750).This allows me to connect the card in Eyefinity mode to a 3rd (VGA) monitor in full HD resolution.I am not sure if it's a problem with the ATI card/drivers or the adapter, but when you resume from standby the screen flickers and jumps about. The only solution is to unplug the adapter and then re-plug it.If you do that then 9 times out of 10 the display comes back ok.When it works it's great. And Eyefinity gaming with 3x HD monitors is pretty amazing.Update February 2012.Junk. I have got totally sick of this thing. The frequency of the jumpy screen became 100% and the only solution was often to shutdown and restart. It has now been replaced with a Startech part that works perfectly and reliably. Works perfectly well
I have tested this item on my MacBook Pro 13" twice and works perfectly well. I am getting a second one, as it is cheaper than the original apple one and I always on the move doing presentations.
