CORE is Worth the $$ (Price Comp Review)
Although all Wellness brand foods we've tried are good, CORE Grain-Free, is the best. My puppies' energy is solid, even their temperament is more positive (I swear their brains are boosted on CORE), their poop is consistently "perfect". They're much more appreciative after feeding, and just an overall boost in good ole "puppy". It's amazing the difference with grain-free. Hopefully, I'll always be blessed enough to be able to feed my best friends such good food. They're still less than 6 months old, but over 50 lbs., so I just switched over to the Wellness CORE Large Breed Original Formula, from trying to go less expensive with the regular Wellness Puppy Complete Health & Wellness Large Breed Puppy (neither being CORE). I used the CORE Puppy until they were about 4 months, and they grew like cows. Regular Wellness is decent, but I'm 100% sold on Wellness CORE. I'm not even "middle class" on income right now, but that's an even more important reason to feed them well vs going the cheap route. I remember the cheap stuff we fed our outside mutts when I was a kid. There's no comparison. My current mutts are two healthy sibling lab/pit bull mix pups & I'll go without a few fast food meals a month, just so I can keep them healthy. Others have cigarette, booze, gambling, new cars, fancy homes...but I'm perfectly content with my happy & healthy puppies; they bring me way more joy than anything material or any possible vice.I'm not a paid spokesperson reviewer, just FYI. I believe Wellness has hit the jackpot in this market & truly want others to consider the benefit to paying a few $$ more/month for their pets to thrive, instead of just live.I figured it up & the prices/lb are remarkable, but not more than those 24 plastic bottled waters you buy & consume every month ;) my figures are based on the regular purchase price, not the subscribe & save. *** are for what I have used with my two current pups.Wellness Food Type Price/lb Based on Price/Bag as of 07/03/2015------------------------------ ------------- ------------------------------------------------------*Complete Health Puppy #30 $1.55 @ $48.83/bag*Large Breed Puppy #30 $1.84 @ $55.27/bag*CORE Large Breed Original #26 $2.12 @ $54.99/bag*CORE Puppy Formula #26 $2.61 @ $67.82/bagI will be back to edit in the future. Very high quality food. More importantly it can be delivered and in a pinch get another bag quickly if I didn’t time my subscription right

Healthy puppy
My dog really likes this food. It is a bit pricy but worth it. He does Ned to eat more than the recommended amount to maintain his weight, but this may just be my dog.

Guys/gals read ingredients!
If you've got dog food already and are considering switching to Wellness Core, go look at the ingredients on your current dog food.If you aren't aware, the ingredients are listed in order from most used to least used and you better hope you don't see any cheap grains used as fillers in your first few ingredients! Now check out ingredients on Wellness Core. For large breed the first 3 ingredients are Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, Turkey Meal. You'll also notice all the ingredients are meats, fats and vegetables with zero grains whatsoever. Dogs don't eat grains so don't force them to by giving them poor dog food. Grains are cheap ways for companies to make dog food. That's why this stuff is expensive, it's quality.Warning... this is potent stuff high in proteins and fats. If your dog is on cheaply made stuff, make sure to mix this food in slowly over a few days because it will cause the runs. Be prepared for more energy out of your dog too so keep up the exercising. If it matters, my 3 Dobermans are on this food and I know genetics plays a part but they're huge!

My dog has been on this food for 6 years....
...and I would not give him anything else! My dog is a 7.5 year old Golden Retriever. When we got him as a puppy, everyone said he would slow "way down" at 3 years old. Well, let's just say our sorta old pup can keep up with the new puppy living next door! I credit so much of his good health to this food. He is aging gracefully. His fur is soft and beautiful. His eyes are bright and alert. He has tons of energy to play. I highly recommend this food for your large breed dog. You will notice a huge different in not just appearance, but also energy level of your dog when you feed him/her a high-quality food like this one. It's expensive but worth it. Highly recommend!

Great dog food
My dos like the food! I don’t need to add wet for for them to eat it & I am saving about $200 on dog food now mo. Is They both are pooping solid! My pit that naturally seems to itch a lot is less itchy. I wished I switched the sooner. I am not one to write reviews but so far so good!
