You pay for quality
Warehouse home improvement stores stock a variety of loppers. If you want really good ones, walk out and find a dealer or distributor of Felco products.I've used several brands that vary in construction and materials. Something you don't often think about is weight. Carbon handles on this model reduce weight which allows you to complete more work with more comfort. They're also strong. The blades are made of high quality steel that holds an edge. Forget dulling the blades on a cheap pair and putting them in your garage sale 2 years later. These will provide you with years of service and when they do need a change....they're replaceable. The blades on most brands are not! Spend the extra money on these loppers and never have to buy another pair.

Expensive and worth every cent for me.
I spend a great deal of time in the gardening and appreciate good tools that make my life simpler. These Felco loppers absolutely fit the bill. They are light, clean cutting, and completely user serviceable. Yes they are expensive in comparison to the big box store brands, but there is an appreciable difference if you do a lot of gardening work on a daily basis so you be the judge.

Sharp and elegant
Was so excited to get these loppers and they work like a dream. They do get a little heavy after I have been using them for a while, but the cut branches like butter. I'm happy that they are able to be sharpened and have replaceable parts. Love Felco products.

Get's The Job Done
Recently fulfilled a life-long dream of owning country property. Much clearing to do and we are planting an orchard of over 50 trees. So that's a lot of cutting both now and in the future. Wanted a sturdy yet lightweight tool that would perform well and last a lifetime. Happy to report this is it! For long chores of repetitive cutting this lopper stays sharp and reduces arm fatigue. Worth the money, as are all Felco tools.

Lopping ahead......
The Best Buy I have ever made as far as loppers go. I have a huge garden and every year it seemed I would have to buy at least 2 sets. So I bit the bullet an bought a more expensive set against my husbands advice and I have not regretted it. I find loppers difficult to use (when they work!)but these are light, yet strong, I dont have to grit my teeth anymore and managed to comfortably cut so much more before taking a break. My husband always said it was the way I used previous loppers, he tried these and had to eat his words, and no I don't let him use them, he has at least a couple of the old ones, it must be the way he uses them dont you think!

You won't go wrong with these. Not quite as incredible as the Felco website says, but they are nice.
It says up to 1.4" on the Felco, so because of that and the eye-watering price I was tempted to only give them four stars. I think only superman could cut a branch that big. But they are sure better than the cheap brands. You won't go wrong with this one, and the price compares very well to other sellers - both Amazon and not. The light weight of these is a real treat.

echte Profischere
