Excellent product to clear out infant's boogies
I didn't even know something like this existed! I use this with saline drops for my 6 monther during the dry winter months. I use the saline drops first to moisten the boogies and then these tweezers to pull it out. Be careful not to pinch baby's skin/inside nose and it may hurt when pulling out dry crusted boogies, so that is the only thing to watch out for. The product itself is made of plastic but definitely has a nice feel to it and is not flimsy. The tips/edges are rounded except for the inside where the two parts of the tweezer meets, it is flat. I was worried and thought how it could grip but its flat, not rounded on the inside tip so it works really well! The tip of the tweezers arent very big but are not very small either. I found the best time to do this was when he is down for a nap as he resists when i try to clean it otherwise. Have pulled out big boogies to help my son breathe. Its amazing the size of boogers compared to the space in their nostrils! I feel sooo satisfied hearing his breathing clear up. If you're looking for something to get the mucous out, this isn't the product though. This is more for the pieces that you can see but can't reach with your fingertips. Totally worth the few bucks and shipping was super quick! Highly recommended. Happy gold digging!

These are perfect! Rounded end so they won't poke baby
These are perfect! Rounded end so they won't poke baby. Get into the little nostrils just fine and I haven't had any problems closing them to grasp the boogies. I have been able to get my daughter's boogers out without screaming and thrashing that usually occurs when attempting to use our nasal aspirator. This is much better with in and out and done!I like that they have the plastic cover so I know it's not getting dirty and putting unnecessary germs into my child's nose. Now if only they came with a locator button so I could find them every time after I lose them! At least they are cheap enough to buy an extra or two. Great product! Really a must have for any baby born during cold season, or even reflux/congested babies.

very useful baby tool
I relied on other reviews to buy this product. I have to say these are definitely going to make your life easier. When your little baby's nose is stuffed up and is having trouble feeding you will need these. I have tried the bulb syringe which doesn't work all the time and the baby hates it. I have also bought a nose aspirator, baby comfy nose, but if you have these you don't have to bother using an aspirator. I use these just about every other day to quickly and painlessly remove boogies from my two month old's nose. I am not saying that he likes it but it gets the job done pretty fast and painlessly. No need putting water drops in his nose which he hates and going through the whole routine of using an aspirator or bulb syringe. The tweezers are able to get dried boogies and usually pull the wet stuff out with it. I would say it may take about 5 seconds to get the job done. I can't say enough about how great these are. If I lost or broke them I would NEED to buy them again!

Useful to have for your baby.
These tweezers are a far more useful tool than those disgusting snot suction things! You have to be quick and precise with these but they do the trick. The tips are small enough to fit into a newborn's nose and blunt enough that if you do touch skin or nose it doesn't hurt. The tweezer is the length of a normal tweezer so it fits nicely in my hand. It is easy to clean and you don't need any filters or hoses. The only downside is I could imagine the tip breaking off if I dropped it enough times since it's plastic. On the other hand, you wouldn't want metal in the baby's nose anyway.

safe and effective
I use these to get hard and soft boogers that are closer to the outside of my baby's nose. sometimes I have to try more than once to actually get the booger, but I like that I don't have to waste q-tips by using it once for his nose and throwing it away. also, when he had a terrible cold a few months ago, I used this in conjunction with the nosefrida. together, they are like the batman and robin of nose cleaning. for example, one time I tried sucking out some boogies from my baby's nose using the nosefrida. then I realized the white stuff in his nose was thick mucus that had got a little too hard for it. so I popped out my penguin tweezers and pulled it out. there was a lot! and it was almost dried up like glue. I don't even know how he was breathing. :( I also like that this was made in Japan, which to me is a mark of quality. so even though this is basically an overpriced piece of plastic, I have used it enough times to justify the cost. the Japanese think of everything!

They do the job.
I can't say these made my kid like getting his boogers picked, but they are a far superior option to the Nose Frida (which my kid freaks out at the sight of) for the sticky, goopy, crusty boogers. The Frida is still the superior choice for the waterier snot. WIth these I can get in and out in fairly short order, lock in on my target and extract it with precision and a lack of pinching, even from a flailing toddler. My husband thought I was insane when I spent $6 on plastic tweezers, but honestly, what's $6 when you kid no longer has green icicles hanging from his nose?
