Easy to handle and a strong motor.

Very nice design and reasonably lightweight.

Cuts like buttah!Ended up trimming EVERTHING in the back yard including the tree!Now i wish there was something i could order to pick up all the clippings! 🤣A little heavy but i can live with it.I would prefer a lock-on button, but i like that the secondary start/stop button is on the gripper bar. A lot better than having to squeeze a trigger to keep it on.Oh yeah...ELECTRIC PLUG IS 2-PRONGER NOT 3.

The box this came in was beat to death. The cutting section was bent pretty bad.. However, it bent back nice and straight and I am just not going to worry about.This is a little heavier than my previous electric hedger (HF, el cheapo), though it is also more powerful. I would not say head and shoulders more powerful, but there is a noticeable difference with the larger branches. It cuts pretty smooth and I have no complaints there for my application.The switches seem to work well. You do have to press two things for this to work. With my HF model, you press two but you could release the safety and it continued to operate. The Garcare will not do that. If you release the safety is shuts off. This is safer, yes, but it also means you have reduced reach as you always have to keep two hands on it.The cord is a bit short. I like to make a knot with the extension cord so the connection is secure. The cord on the hedger is literally an inch from not being long enough to do this. I would have preffered a few more inches on the hedger cord.I would not call this unit heavy duty, although it seems like it will last a couple years. Honestly, you cant expect more for stuff like this. Overall, I would buy it again.

This is a long overdue review. Should have done it a month ago.Firstly, I like the trimmer a lot for its long trim and strong cutting capacity. My wife bought it for me to trim the bush in my farm and it worked great to cut the bush and vines to 1/2" or large sizes. At one point, I ran into a very hard dry branch, which caused some damage to the drive gear. So, don't struggle with any dry or dead branches.I tried to get some info from the seller (E2E Shop) to ask where I could find the spare parts for the gear with a picture included, so I would buy the parts and fix it myself. The customer service (Hitomi) was very helpful. She handled the request and contacted us to offer us a new replacement trimmer free of charge. She also allowed us to keep the one so we don't have to return it anymore. The replacement arrived in 2 days in expedite way which was a very pleasant surprise to us.I normally do not write any reviews at Amazon. In this case, the seller has gone extra miles to help a customer which is far beyond my expectations in many fronts. I am compelled to share my experience with another shoppers for the wonderful service and great products.Yes, I will deal with E2E for my future purchase and I hope you can trust them too!Thank you again Hitomi!

I bought this product for the longer blade and it works like a champ! I love this trimmer, and it has cut my yard trimming in half.

Regarding my new 4.8 amp Garcare hedge trimmers, I would like to say that I am satisfied and impressed by the quality of this product. I have lived in my house for six years and have bushes under the windows in the front of the house which have never been trimmed. I myself do not know much about what I needed for this job nor about trimmers and their specific features. I looked at many different models and styles some were gas powered, some electric. There are various levels of horsepower and torque available and I was not sure what I would need for these bushes but I wanted to be sure it would be powerful enough without going overboard. I found the 4.8 amp to be just enough power and still lightweight for me to handle and work with. I also like the rotating handle which allows for different angles of cutting and reaching difficult areas. I am including both before and after photos of my bushes to show just how much I was able to accomplish in just a few minutes of work. The trimmers are sharp and easily cut through my thick bristled shrub and I appreciate the blade cover for storing them and taking them in the trunk of my car. I used a short 20 foot extension cord to plug into an outdoor outlet on the house and it was easy to move around without needing to drag a long heavy cord. I did pull the plug from the cord a couple times before I finished but overall it worked very well. I think if you're looking for a good household trimmer that is versatile and affordable you will not go wrong with the Garcare 4.8 amp hedge trimmers.

This Trimmer appears to be sharp enough but it does not have a button to keep the unit on you must constantly depress the rear handle switch. It also has a shut off switch on the top guard handle which requires constant depression also else the unit stops. So you have to keep two shut off switches depressed while you use it. If you need to mount it on a pole like I need to do then you will have to use duct tape or a clamp to keep these switches depressed while you use it. It would be better to have a stay on switch that could be quickly disenguaged than to be forced to use other methods. Thinking of returning it.
