Well made NEMA 14-30P plug
I'm using this to interconnect my 11KVA home generator to my main electrical panel. Wiring was easy and the plug holds the cable securely. I would perhaps buy a heavier duty plug if I were using this every day for work (where the plug has to be inserted/removed on a daily basis), but for most home situations where 4-prong wiring is plugged in and left alone (such as for dryers, ranges, and ovens), this plug is a great choice.

Ignore 1 Star Reviews - These are SPACE Worthy!!
When I placed my order I was hesitant because (silly me) I read the ONE STAR reviews and somewhat believed the reviewers. Trust me on this, the ONE Star reviews are NONSENSE.This plug is absolutely heavy duty and would serve astronauts well if they needed a heavy-duty plug.I attached 6 gauge wire and there was plenty of room to tighten down the wires snugly. As you are doing your install, the cable clamp can be helpful in tightening down the cable so it does not move as you're making the screw connections to the prong terminals.I was able to tighten down the screws with all my strength. The wires are not going to move anyplace. There is enough room on the business side of the plug to route and attach wires so there is Absolutely NO DANGER of bare wires coming into contact with one another and causing a short.Of course, you should be a little smart and make sure you trim back ONLY enough insulation to insert into the screw terminal (except for the ground wire). After your wiring is complete and you tighten the cable clamp, NOTHING moves. It's tight and secure. Then you attach the top of the plug and tighten down the two screws to hold it in place. If you know what you're doing, this plug should last 100 years. The wires are very tight, secure, and unmovable after you finish. There are mostly good reviews for this, but the 3 1-star reviews astonish me because I found NOTHING about this plug that I ddin't like. The ONLY complaint I can imagine is that this has no finger rings to make removal easier. But this is the style of this plug and you should KNOW that by just looking at the product picture.I recommend this as a BUY !!

Installing a #6 So Cable
This flexible cable is quite thick and deserves some special attention. The legs have to be cut pretty much exactly to length and positioned carefully when connected. The outer cover is too thick to be held by the clamp so you have to tape around the legs where they enter the plug and use them to secure the cable to the plug when it is screwed together. The multi-layers of tape will prevent cutting the insulation if handled carefully.I am using the setup for a home generator into my electrical panel for a 50 amp connection. It works well.
