Nirvana's Finest Moment
Back in 1991, Nirvana were not really considered as gods of garage music, with Kurt Kobain not really making an impact on the music scene. This all changed when this amazing album came along, 12 of the best tracks you could find on one album, from trashing punk right though to more sombre affairs, Nevermind really defined who Nirvana was, and who they were going to be.Some of their finest moments are here, from all out rock of Smells Like Teen Spirit, through to the rather more thoughtful Polly. Some great stops along the way include the rather cool In Bloom, brilliantly written by Kurt; Stay Away, with it's angry guitar riffs and cool lyrics and Something In The Way, a sort of ballad. There's also the rather singable Come As You Are, with it's excellent plucked theme. This is a great album, and has to be part of the classic albums of all time, it's hard to describe what feelings you get from this, but it's good fun to dance to, talk to friends and even have on while doing the cleaning, that's how versatile it is. I think it's their best album, very close with In Utero not so far behind. Kurt's voice is excellent and his talent shines here, a real classic rock voice. This is a must have, even if you don't like grunge and garage, this will appeal to you, on many levels.

Too Comercial ??
I have to say this is one of the best buys i've made of late. Not being from the era and therfore not able to view the unfolding of one of the epic milestones in music history this set is a must have for younger music fans.Granted if you are a little older and were around for it first time arround then this may not apeal. Also if you think its just a comercial money grabber then you wont like it (on this point I guess you guys should stop having Birthdays and Anniversarys too then??). What you can apreciate it for is the fact that its a great collection of Magazine interviews, Photo Shoots, Vynal Covers, Sleeve Inserts and other such snippets of history. As for the CD's, anyone who apreciates the effort that goes into making an Album will love to see it grow from the rehearsal stage through to the rough mixes and then the Platinum album.Overall it's a great buy and a must for fans of music in general.

A Masterpiece From The Last Great Rock Star
I honestly cannot see how anyone who actually likes Nirvana or rock music could give this fantastic, expanded reissue less than 5 stars.Twenty years after it's orginal release Nirvana's masterpiece is still as visceral, dangerous and exciting as ever and Cobain's songwritng as impassioned and essential. The remaster is flawless and brings out the best of an already great album and whilst the mighty Paramount gig, Butch Vig mix and the other rarities have all been available before as bootlegs, it's good to see them get an official release at last. The accompanying book and sleeve are also handsomely produced and are quality items.I know it's not cheap, but it's worth it.Sadly Kurt's fervent wish to be a star and spokesman for a generation (and if you're in any doubt about this, then read his journals) didn't bring him lasting happiness ; sometimes you should be careful what you wish for, but the music he made with his group endures.

Great sound but WHY DID YOU COVER IT UP WITH STICKERS?!!?!
Amazing album. Well it's Nirvana isn't it so what do you expect? Great sound quality, and pleased to find the "secret song" was included. (Endless Nameless.) Everything was fine with the music, but some idiot decided to cover up Kurt's middle finger on the album sleeve with a sticker and another one covering up territorial p!savings. Quite disappointed about that. Tried to rip the sticker off the sleeve but it ripped the paper aswell. Territorial sticker came off easy. But the mark adds to the grunge experience, I guess.

The album that redifined rock
This album changed the landscape of rock in the 90's. Gone was the glam polished rock that rode so high in the 80's. In it's place stood heavy distorted guitars, angry passionate lyrics and gruff raw vocals. Nirvana were not only the 1st to start this trend but they were the best at grunge too. Packed with timeless angsty classics from the haunting Polly to tongue in cheek Lithium to the anthem that defined a generation known as Smells Like Teen Spirit this album is truly one of the greatest and most iconic albums of all time. Every song is an easy 10/10. Stop reading this review and purchase your own copy to get a piece of music history you don't want to miss out on. Kurt Cobain may be gone but his music will live on forever.

Nevermind
Arguably one of the best Grunge albums in existence. Nirvana show how they can appeal to the mainstream while maintaining a very underground type presence. The album consists of many of the favourites such as Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are and In Bloom, but also has some great lesser known songs like Breed and Lounge Act. This album spans many fans of different genres - The occasional rock fan, the heavy metaller, the punk rocker and sometimes even the 80s fan. It's one of those albums that if you haven't listened to it, then why not? You're missing out!

The best Grunge album ever released!
Its Nirvana. On September 24, 1991, Nirvana released what is in my opinion one of the, if not the best grunge album ever released. Every single track on this album could stand on its own and I would still pay the full asking price of the entire album, it's that good. What makes the album so good is both the phenomenal music but also the mastering on the album, this is definitely an album to get on CD as opposed to a compressed MP3 file! Every single song is great on this album and I highly recommend it to any self respecting rock or grunge fan!
