SEGA TOYS Home Planetarium Homestar Original (black)

I saw this and did some research on the web as you do, and decided that I really wanted the homestar pro because the extra amount of stars being 60,000 as opposed to the first one which only has 10,000 stars, the pro has also got a higher level of light.However, what I didn't realize, is that the names are confused with the USA. In Europe the homestar pro is actually the homestar original, in Europe, but still has the 60,000 stars. So, just a slightly different name, just check you have the 60,000 stars. This is important to me as I want to see more. I certainly do with this and am so very happy with the projection. It takes a little tweeking, but you can really see so much and the real icing on the cake is that it moves very slowly, while you are watching, with a button to give you a shooting star. The shooting star is in the same place but I find thats okay with me as I feel its so relaxing and I can just think as the stars slowly move around the room.I do know that there are colour projections due out this year to put in the homestar and am looking for ward to to this. Meanwhile i do feel like I am watching something awe inspiring and I feel quite special under the stars at night in my own bedroom.

Total darkness required for sharper images. It's relaxing, quiet an easy to store.

Absolute RUBBISH! Arrived promptly, that's the only good thing to say about it. The focus ring does not move or work at all and the lens has ripples on it that leaves huge concentric rings around a blurred image. An absolute disgrace to sell such a rubbish product. If the thing even half worked you might forgive it, but it doesn't, if they can't send me a machine that works as it is supposed to then I expect s full refund plus costs to ship this rubbish back to Germany. Avoid at all costs. Deserves no stars at all! Complete waste of money. Very, very disappointed. :-(

The home planeterium did not live up to the reviews I have read. It is not as expansive as I thought it would be as the further away from the ceiling you put it, the less effective it is. It is not worth £100 but as abit of fun, it is alright. I am not entirely satisfied with the product but hey-ho.

I use it instead of a night light . The projection is very good in absolute darkness. It comes with two midi discs but I bought two extra. Just add some music to create a cozy atmosphere

This is a more "peaceful" nightlight than your regular spot.

Not worth the money at all. I was very unimpressed with it and returned it for a refund. I have seen £20 ones that are better.
