It'll pay for itself by the convenience of having it
I've never had my own diagnostic tool before, because I figured that if it wasn't something mechanically wrong with my vehicle I pretty much had to take it to a shop. So far this has been straight forward and simple to use. One vehicle threw a code, I checked it, nothing serious, so I called the shop I use and asked if I should clear the code and see if it comes back before I take it to them (they're 45 minutes away), and I did. It was simple, the code didn't come back, and it saved me the inconvenience of getting to the shop. It just about paid for itself in gas that time alone

Easy to use and read for common non technical/mechanical people
I purchased this OBD2 code reader because my old one stopped working, I like that you can save and print out a report of the codes, I have not done that yet. It’s good quality and easy to use. I was able to find the exact problem when my check engine light came on. It has many functions and you can view the live status of your engine in real time. I am definitely glad I upgraded to this 2025 version, instructions were clear, and you don’t have to be “tech savvy” to read it. Hopefully I will not need to use it much, but I feel prepared for the next check engine light that comes on with this tool.

Tester is easy to use. It will allow you to clear engine fault codes after repairs. Easy to gather data and find issues with your engine by easy to lookup codes. Complete with storage bag.

Very simple, great UI, straight to the point displays and manual. It even checks your battery voltage! Best Buy if you want to take care of your vehicles. Reads codes good too.

Very good product and good price for it
This machine really is helpful. Easy to follow. It told me the problems on my car with the codes. Of which I looked up on Google for more details about the same codes it gave me. Then I was able to clear the engine code. I did noticed that you have to turn the car to on position to erase the code. It wouldn't work trying to clear the code while the car was running.

Works but no download link
Works on the device alone. Simple codes and tells you what they mean. The one problem I have is I need to beable to print the report that it makes. There is a page to download the link to the app, but the links are not connected. I have tried to look for other software out there but none I have found work. If your looking to have somthing to plug in your car and see what might be wrong without printing the results this is great. If not then tell they fix the link I would look elsewhere. 3 stars for advertising that you can print the results if you can't because you can't install a working client.
