Fun gadget/toy but don’t expect amazing
☑️ Well packaged and well presented.☑️ Decent weighted base so this is reasonable steady but don’t expect excited children not to cause shakes etc.☑️ Good light brightness.☑️ Easy to use and with decent magnification.☑️ Good app and we like that this is covered for iPhone, android and windows. Is this a great scientific instrument? No but at this price it would be disingenuous to expect. It is, however, a fun learning toy for children and as long as you don’t over expect it’s fine!

Didn't work for me - Literally
I had a similar microscope in the days of Windows 8 that worked without any problems. This time....I tried downloading the uni-lab app from Google Playstore. This gave a message that the app was not suitable for my android phone (Samsung A14). I then went on the web and found a uni-lab app for android phones. Got a message the site was not secure and recommended not downloading. But I did download the uni-lab software for my ASUS pc without a problem. It opened OK, looked good and I plugged in the microscope. Program wouldn't recognise the microscope. Tried all the ports, same result. Gave up and sent it back. Hope other people are luckier or more patient than me.

Powerful Portable Microscope
I liked this wireless digital microscope a lot.It is portable, rechargeable via the usb type c cable supplied so there's no battery costs and the scope itself is small enough to fit in a pocket. After downloading the unilab app on both my tablet and phone i had no problems getting it set up on either as they recognised the microscope and connected to it wirelessly immediately. It is operated by four press buttons for power, the built in lights brightness increase and decrease and a capture button which when pressed takes a digital image of the object being examined and puts it in an album of pictures in the app.The photo or video if preferred can then be downloaded to a unilab folder in my library on my device if I so wish. The microscope can be hand held or placed in the adjustable table top stand ( it just clicks into place)to hold it steady whilst examining an object and once the focus is adjusted by turning the focus wheel the image is extremely clear and sharp The magnification of the image can also be further increased in the app itself so even greater detail can be seen. The only improvement I would make is that a small bag could be provided to protect the microscope while being carried in a pocket perhaps but that aside I think this item would make a great gift for an adult or older child who collects coins or stamps or is interested in seeing the hidden world that the power of magnification can reveal in everyday objects or for those who perhaps want to study the plant or insect life around us in astonishing detail this microscope is a good choice and I recommend it.

Good for hobby purposes
One of the best features with this digital microscope is how easy it is to use. I’ve used it with two different laptops, and it was fine with both. Image quality is good enough for hobby purposes, and at this price point that’s where it will be most attractive. I imagine it would also work well in a classroom environment, certainly with younger children. The scope has a decent base which has enough weight to be steady, and I’m pleased with it.

Amazing how good it is!
Amazon Vine Review.I was sent this product in exchange for an honest review. We have been using this in the classroom, just looking at anything and everything. We've looked at leaves, we've looked at clothes, paper, and even an ant! That was a great one! The children were amazed to see the ant so close up (we had it up on the projector so was made even bigger) and they watched the ant cleaning. The amount of detail you could see was surprising. We then decided to look at our hands. They were then disgusted with the tiny microscopic specks of dirt that was on their hands.Overall this has been a fantastic addition to our classroom. The computer used was running Windows 10 and did not need anything installed. We used the built in camera software and just changed the camera from the default to the microscope. Simple to set up and use, good quality. I would recommend this and I know the children have a list of things they want to use it to get an up close view of!

A piece of kit that is fun rather than brilliant
I've got this microscope to try to generate interest in my son (who generally likes nothing that is not on a hand held device). It works straight from the box, with an easy-to-use app. Going around the house finding things to peer at is a bit of fun, as is taking images and asking him to guess what it is of. For that, I think this a nice purchase. As a serious piece of kit, though, it falls a little short in quality and function.Recommended - with provisos.
